Terms of Service
Registration Obligations
Account registration and verification is required in order to create a Chesscape account.
During registration, all users are required to provide accurate, complete and current
information about themselves in all required fields. Should any of your own information
change after submitting it to Chesscape, you are required to update that information as
soon as possible. Should Chesscape suspect that your personal information is not complete,
current, or accurate, your account may be subject to suspension or termination. Users under
thirteen years of age are unauthorized to register a Chesscape account and must seek company
from parents before using Chesscape.com.
Participation and Conduct
You understand that all Content, including without limitation, all information, data, text,
software, or other materials, whether publicly posted or privately transmitted, are the sole
responsibility of the person from which such Content originated. Chesscape does not control
Content posted via the Service and, as such, does not guarantee the validity of such Content.
You also understand that by using the Service, you may be exposed to Content that is offensive,
indecent, or objectionable. It will be Chesscape's sole discretion as to what action to take
should Content be found or reported to be in violation with, but not limited to, the following
terms:
- Profanity, sexually explicit language, racial slurs, ethnic slurs, sexual slurs, personal
attacks, fighting, and disruptive behavior are prohibited.
- You may not impersonate a Chesscape official or employee or any other person.
- You may not disrupt the normal flow of dialogue in a chat room or otherwise act in a manner
that negatively affects other users, individuals or entities.
- You may not post or transmit chain letters or pyramid schemes; post or transmit any unsolicited
advertising, promotional materials, or other forms of solicitation to other users.
- You may not intentionally or unintentionally violate any applicable local, state, national
or international law or regulation.
- To report any abusive behavior, please contact us and provide a description of the abusive
behavior and who is doing it (i.e. the player's screen name).
- Chesscape reserves the right to deny access at any time at the discretion of Chesscape.com.

The Service, or relevant third parties, may provide links to other web sites or resources. Because Chesscape
has no control over such sites and resources, you acknowledge and agree that Chesscape is not responsible
for the availability of such external sites or resources, and does not endorse and is not responsible or
liable for any content, advertising, products, or other materials on or available from such sites or
resources. You further acknowledge and agree that Chesscape shall not be responsible or liable, directly
or indirectly, for any damage or loss caused or alleged to be caused by or in connection with use of or
reliance on any such content, goods or services available on or through any such site or resource.
Online Privacy
Chesscape is committed to protecting the privacy of its members. We ask you when registering for the
Service to provide us with your email address and demographic information such as gender, age and ZIP code.
Chesscape collects and uses these information to provide you with more effective service; making the
Service easier to use by eliminating the need for you to repeatedly enter the same information; performing
research and analysis aimed at improving our services, technologies and displaying content and advertising
that are customized to your interests and preferences. We do not share them with anyone else or use them for
any other purposes.
